You Chose "C" America Gives – That's Incorrect!
American Angels is not one of the America250 initiatives.
What is America250? It's the nonprofit supporting organization to the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, tasked with commemorating and celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
According to america250.org, "The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation's past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond."
These are the initiatives of America250:
- Our American Story is a nationwide initiative to collect and preserve the voices of everyday Americans to form the largest audiovisual archive of American stories ever created.
- America's Field Trip is a contest for students in grades 3-12 to submit artwork and essays for the chance to earn unique experiences at iconic American sites.
- America Gives encourages you to take part, as an individual or as part of a group, in a national year of service to honor and celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
While we made up American Angels for purposes of This Month's Trivia question, you probably can think of real-life angels whose kindness has made a difference.
