If you get a text or email claiming to be from your bank that includes the message "Your bank account is frozen," do not respond. It's a scam.
You may be told that your bank account is locked due to suspicious activity or an IRS request, and you need to act immediately. The message contains a link that leads to a fake login page designed to steal your credentials. If you click the link, you might be asked to enter your bank account number, password, Social Security number, or other personal information, which the scammers then use for fraudulent purposes.
