Short Tutorial/FAQ – How to Delete Your Unwanted Apps

Just like our homes, our devices can become cluttered over time, making it more difficult to find the things we actually want. One culprit are the apps you downloaded on a whim and then rarely (or never) used.

Here's how to delete the apps you no longer want:

Android
Note: Some of these steps work only on Android 13 and up.
  1. Open the Google Play Store app. Image of apps on a phone
  2. At the top right, tap the Profile icon.
  3. Tap Manage apps & devices > Manage. Select the name of the app you want to delete.
  4. Tap Uninstall.
iPhone
Do any of the following:
  1. Remove an app from the Home Screen. Touch and hold the app on the Home Screen, tap Remove App, then tap Remove from Home Screen to keep it in App Library, or tap Delete App to delete it from iPhone.
  2. Delete an app from App Library and the Home Screen. Touch and hold the app in App Library, tap Delete App, then tap Delete.
If you later change your mind, you can always redownload apps, as long as they're still available.
